Audio and Pro Tools session file storage?

We strongly recommend that you purchase a Pro Tools compatible hard drive for your recording sessions.  We usually stock them, but please call first to check our inventory.  If we allow you to temporarily store your files on our house drive, then you will be doing so at your own risk.  Theft, damage, and malfunctions can always occur.  This is why we also recommend you buy an additional drive, CDs, or USB thumbdrives as a backup in case anything happens to your main drive.   Drives are a small price to pay to help ensure you're files will always be available.

Can we upload your session and audio files to a web server or program like Dropbox?

Yes.  We're happy to do so.  Just be specific on how and where you would like them sent.  We do not take responsibility for these processes as data transfer over the internet can sometimes corrupt.  Always make sure you have a backup drive or other storage medium just in case.

Do you have someone at the studio to discuss our questions before, during and after our recording sessions?

Of course! We encourage you to ask away.  It's our pleasure to help you understand and prepare for your time spent at Cue.

What should we bring to the session?

Any instruments or amps you would like to use.  Please call if you have other needs.

When is payment expected?

We require a deposit at the time of booking to hold your scheduled session equal to one half of the session charges.  Final payment is due at the end of each session unless other payment arrangements have been agreed to in advance.

What's your cancellation policy?

Any session cancelled prior to 72 hours of the scheduled session is issued a full deposit refund.  Any session cancelled 72 hours prior to the scheduled session is charged one half of the session time.

Arriving late to your session or ending early?

As the time you booked is reserved for your session and the engineer is on duty, our policy is to charge for half of the unused, but booked time.  This helps over the costs of the engineer and other standby services.  Thank you for being prompt and understanding.

Is the recording engineer included in the studio fees?
